Among the services offered are virus removal and installation of software to protect your files in the future, installation of hardware/software to alleviate your spy ware, pop-ups and spam problems, hardware upgrades to add more memory, transferring your data from outdated media to new media, setting up your new computer and/or connecting your digital camera, scanner, printer, etc., protecting your computer with firewalls and hardware devices, maintaining your computer or system, building networks from the ground up, and many more.

“We also offer software instruction and training. We are willing to inform and educate you or your employees on any level, whether one-on-one or in group sessions,” says Kieler.

In addition, PC Posse offers Web site design, development and maintenance, as well as phone support services. “Most of the time we can analyze the problem over the phone and know whether or not we need to come or what parts we need to bring to fix it. Regular fees are $125 per hour. However, you have the option of bundling blocks of time to take advantage of discounts that will reduce the hourly fee to $80 for a 100-hour bundle. Smaller bundles of 10 to 50 hours are also available with discounted rates.

“Most businesses start with an hourly fee and soon realize that it makes more sense to buy block time,” says
Kieler. “The bottom line is, we are not the cheapest when you compare us to low-end repair services … I’d say we are somewhere in the middle.
